enghlis version:
Chestnut jam. One of the autumn fruits appreciated by many people is used a lot in the kitchen for both savory and sweet recipes, today we tried to make a chestnut-based jam, certainly cheap if the chestnuts are picked by you! The chestnut jam is suitable for breakfast or as a snack at our house and loved it!
Ingredients for 3 jars:
- 400 g of chestnut pulp
- 130 g of granulated sugar
- 260 g of water
- 1 teaspoon of coarse salt
- two bay leaves
Preparation:
To prepare the chestnut jam we start by boiling the washed chestnuts under running water, putting them in a pressure cooker completely covered with water, add two bay leaves and 1 teaspoon of coarse salt, cook after the whistle starts for 25 minutes. Drain and allow to cool so as not to burn yourself before peeling and removing the skin covering the inside of the fruit.
Once the pulp has been prepared, weigh it and put in a pan 1/3 of sugar with 2/3 of water, having used 400 g of pulp, I added 130 g of granulated sugar and 260 g of water.
Turn on the heat over medium heat, cook for about 10 minutes the water must not be completely dried. Turn off and blend with an immersion mix, if too dry add very little water and continue to blend until you get a perfect cream. If it is still very watery, bring over low heat for another few minutes.
Sterilize by boiling the jars and let them dry completely, I put them in the microwave for a minute, take them with a cloth and insert the chestnut jam while still hot.
Close the jars with new caps and leave them upside down until completely cool.
Keep the jam for three months in a cool and dry place
