crostata di ricotta e fichiQuesta ricetta di crostata di ricotta e fichi e’ una mia creazione. Quando si hanno gli ospiti che soggiornano per un lungo periodo loro si aspettano che il menu sia sempre vario. Ho imparato ad avere degli ingredienti essenziali a mia disposizione ed ho scoperto che e’ una grande vittoria. Tra questi ingredienti la pasta sfoglia che conservo nel congelatore.

Una passeggiata nel giardino per alcuni fichi freschi, formaggio o ricotta e questo piatto e’ un successo!.

crostata di ricotta e fichi per 4

  • 1 rotolo circolare di pasta sfoglia già pronta per foderare una teglia di 23cm
  • 6 – 8 fichi freschi, tagliati a dischi 0,25 cm
  • Il succo e la scorza di 1 arancia
  • 250 g formaggio o ricotta
  1. Preriscaldare il forno a 220C / 425F
  2. Mettere in una teglia leggermente unta la pasta sfoglia e bucherellarla con la forchetta.
  3. Immergere i fichi tagliati in succo di arancia.
  4. Coprire la base della pasta frolla con la ricotta, quindi disporre i fichi.
  5. Cospargere la scorza dell’arancia sopra i fichi.
  6. Posizionare la torta al centro del forno per circa 20 minuti o fino a quando l’impasto è aumentato ed è di colore marrone dorato.
  7. Servire caldo o freddo con gelato alla crema.

Nearly all foods served at an Italian table have been gathered from someones garden or field, and is then served alongside homemade, pasta, gnocchi, and countless dishes that could not be recounted in this tiny space since each family's knowledge is unique ... well, you can only imagine. I have walked Rome, climbed to the top of the Vatican, seen Milan, Venice, the Cinque Terre, climbed mountains, walked The Path of the Gods, wandered the great city of Napoli, lived on the little Island of Ponza and gathered a pile of friends, family and photographs as well as invalueable experience along the way. I became a new immigrant to the U.S.A on December 15th, 2013. With the support of many great friends and a passion (bordering on obsession), I am here in search of the American Dream and to bring you the natural flavours and vibrant colours of Italy. All my pasta, gnocchi and biscotti are made by hand just as I saw Italians do in homes and good restaurants all over Italy, every day and sometimes, twice a day.
