Tagliatelle with pesto sauce and double cream

Tagliatelle with pesto sauce and double cream is a very good dish, easy to prepare. The recipe is very quick if you use the packed pesto sauce, otherwise you will have to prepare it. Pesto sauce is a tipical genoese sauce, made of fresh basil, pine nuts, parmesan and extra virgin olive oil. In any case, tagliatelle with pesto sauce and double cream is a really delicious dish, perfect for a short lunch break or dinner.  If you prefer you can use different shapes of pasta, it will result creamy as well 🙂

Tagliatelle with pesto sauce and double cream

Ingredients for 2 people

  • 160 g tagliatelle (or pasta)
  • 5 table spoons of pesto sauce
  • 3 table spoons of single cream
  • parmesan or salad ricotta
  • salt

Preparation

Put a pan full of salad water on the stove and wait for it boils then put the tagliatelle or pasta and cook it for the time indicated on the package. Then, in a non-stick pan, mesh the pesto sauce with the double cream and add a bit of extra virgin oli. Heat for some minutes. When pasta is cooked, keep 1 ladle of cooking water, add it in the pan and mesh, then strain the pasta and add it to the relish and pan-fry it together for some minutes. 
Serve tagliatelle with pesto sauce and single cream immediately with some parmesan or salad ricotta.
