Country artichokes

Country artichokes are a simple, very tasty and quick dish! And if they stay, you have a great artichoke cream for bruschetta!

Ingredients of country artichokes

1 artichoke and a half each

salt to taste

olive oil

garlic

parsley

half a lemon

Steps

Take the artichokes, and cut off the tougher leaves, after cutting the stems. Cut off the top.

Place the artichokes in a salad bowl in water and lemon.

Shake the artichokes well to remove excess water and place them on absorbent paper.

Cut each artichoke into 4. And cut each quarter into thin slices.

Place a clove of garlic and plenty of oil in the pan.

Add the sliced artichokes to the pan.

Separately, wash and cut the parsley by hand with a knife.

Place all the artichokes in the pan and add the parsley. Add a glass of water. Cook over a low heat, stirring to prevent them from sticking. Add salt to taste. They will be ready when the water has evaporated and the artichokes have a thick sauce.

Smart advice!

If you haven’t eaten all the artichokes, you can use them for an excellent omelette. Or by adding a drizzle of oil, you can whip them up as a cream for some excellent bruschetta! 😉
