Hi guys! Today we’re going to make some delicious Lemon Cookies that you can pack and use to decorate your Christmas Tree.
It will look great, I assure you that 😀
Lemon Cookies
For the cookie dough:
300 g flour (“00” type)
150 g sugar
150 g butter
1 lemon ( juice and grated skin)
1 tea spoon of baking soda
1 egg
For the glaze:
1 egg white
150 g powdered sugar
Let the butter soften room-temperature. Then put all the ingredients together this way:
Knead them with your hands (or you can help yourselves by kneading them first in a mixing bowl). Then let the cookie dough rest into the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Now you can start making cookies; roll out the dough until it reach a thickness of 4-5 mm. Then cut it to obtain many cookies.
Put them in the oven for about 10 minutes – 180°. The baking pan must be greased and floured first.
These are the cookies after 10 minutes; let them cool-down then you can prepare the glaze. It’s really simple, you have just to put egg white and powdered sugare together and then mix them with a spoon until they reach the consistence of cream. You can now decorate your cookies but let the glaze solidify before pack them or you will get a hash XD
I recommend these cookies also for breakfast time, they’re delicious to immerse into a cup of milk 🙂
