Questa salsa è un vincitore! Perfetto per una festa o di una famiglia spuntino. Lo sapevate che la salsa è conosciuto come condimento preferito in America e poiché l’anno 2000 ha superato ketchup per questo ambito onore voi. Di solito è fatta con pomodori maturi, ma i pomodori verdi hanno un sapore caratteristico e più sottile pomodoro che è molto diverso dai loro fratelli stagionato.

Salsa di pomodoro verde di Diane è stato lucidato fuori molto rapidamente e così è garantito a WOW quelli che alimentano troppo.

Ingredienti: serve a 12

1 dozzina di pomodori verdi di medie dimensioni
2 spicchi d’aglio medi
1 buona manciata di coriandolo fresco
Zest e il succo di 2 lime medie
2 jalapenos medie
Sale e pepe

Vapore o mettere i pomodori in acqua calda per allentare la buccia abbastanza da rimuovere.
Una volta che i pomodori sono sbucciati, aggiungerli con tutti gli altri ingredienti di un processore e di impulso fino a raggiungere il tuo consistenza desiderata – liscia o grosso.
Aggiungere il sale e pepe a piacere.

This particular day, it was Diane who came up with the goodies and created this wonderful green tomato salsa.

This salsa is a winner! Perfect for a party or family snack. Did you know that salsa is known as America’s favourite condiment and since the year 2,000 has overtaken ketchup for this coveted honor. It is usually made with ripe tomatoes but green tomatoes have a distinctive and more subtle tomato flavour that is very different from their ripened brethren.

Diane’s green tomato salsa was polished off very quickly and so is guaranteed to WOW those you feed it too.

Ingredients: Serves up to 12

  • 1 dozen medium sized green tomatoes
  • 2 medium cloves garlic
  • 1 good handful of fresh cilantro
  • Zest and juice of 2 medium limes
  • 2 medium sized jalapenos
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Steam or place the tomatoes into hot water to loosen the peel enough to remove.
  2. Once the tomatoes are peeled, add them with all the other ingredients to a processor and pulse until you have reached your desired texture – either smooth or chunky.
  3. Add the salt and pepper to taste.

I have walked Rome, climbed to the top of the Vatican, seen Milan, Venice, the Cinque Terre, climbed mountains, walked The Path of the Gods, wandered the great city of Napoli, lived on the little Island of Ponza and gathered a pile of friends, family and photographs as well as invalueable experience along the way. I became a new immigrant to the U.S.A on December 15th, 2013. With the support of many great friends and a passion (bordering on obsession), I am here in search of the American Dream and to bring you the natural flavours and vibrant colours of Italy. All my pasta, gnocchi and biscotti are made by hand just as I saw Italians do in homes and good restaurants all over Italy, every day and sometimes, twice a day.
