Melt chocolate with the butter over a bain-marie.
Let cool and then add the egg yolks, after beating with a fork, mixing well.
Then add the icing sugar and powdered almonds and mix.
When all the ingredients are amalgamated, incorporate gradually the flour.
Whip the egg whites and incorporate delicately to the mixture.
Butter the muffin cups and pour in the mixture, making sure they are filled to 2/3, whereas the dough grows.
Bake in a preheated oven, at 190 ° C (375° F), for 10 minutes, then at 180 ° C (356° F) for 10 more minutes.
If you want, you can decorate the chocolate muffins with chopped almonds.
Note
Let the muffins cool before removing from the cups.
