In a bowl mix the flour with the eggs, sugar, melted butter, but not hot, baking powder and grated zest of 1 lemon.
Work the mixture well, incorporating the flour a little at a time, until all ingredients are well amalgamated.
Roll out 2/3 of the dough with a rolling pin, forming a round sheet, the thickness of about 3-4 mm that you spread out on a buttered baking tin.
Cover the surface of the pastry with jam,and level with a spoon.
Roll out the remaining dough and cut strips about 2 cm, using a serrated cutter or a knife.
Use these strips to create the edge of the tart and interior decoration.
Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 30 minutes, until the crust is golden.
Let cool completely before removing from the baking tin and place on a serving dish.
