Apple pie, a classic pie prepared around the world and, therefore, can be found in different variations. The recipe that I propose is very light, because there’s not any butter, but very tasty and fluffy. Excellent for breakfast or a snack.

Apple pie, delicious pie, really easy to prepare!
Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into thin slices. Keep cut apples in water with the lemon juice to prevent them discolouring.
Whip the eggs with the sugar and a pinch of salt. Stir in 200 grams of flour sifted with baking powder, a little at a time.
Add the milk, at room temperature, enough to obtain a compound not too thick (40 g should be enough).
Take a round baking dish with high sides, greased and floured. Pour half of mixture into the baking dish and cover with half of the apples.
Pour the remaining dough. Complete with the rest of the apples.
Sprinkle with butter flakes here and there -if you really want to eliminate the butter you can do it, the cake is good anyway!
Bake in preheated oven at 170° C (338° F) for 1 hour. The surface of apple pie will become golden brown.
You can check if the pie is ready with the ” spaghetti test”, inserting a piece of spaghetti in the apple pie. If the spaghetti comes out clean the pie is ready!
Let cool the apple pie before serving!
