Anchovies gratin

The anchovs gratin is a tasty and healthy main dish. The anchovies are rich in protein and omega-3, and precious minerals, such as calcium, iron, phosphorus and selenium, as well as B vitamins.

Anchovies,  are also very cheap and are always fresh, though, you really have to be careful and make sure they have a bright color and a smell of  sea.


Serves 4

  • 500 grams of anchovies
  • 200 gr of bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • parsley
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper


Remove the head of the anchovies and then open the fish in two sliding your thumb along the belly, proceeding from head to tail. Eliminate the innards and the central bone.

After cleaning, wash them well and let drain.

Take a pan, pour a bit of olive oil and place on top of the anchovies, leaving them open, so that the inside of the fish is facing upwards.

Add salt and pepper and spread over the anchovies garlic and parsley, finely chopped.

Cover the anchovies with the breadcrumbs and drizzle with olive oil.

Bake in hot oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes, until the breading is  golden.

Your anchovies gratin  are ready! Taste them hot!
