This omelette with ham and cheese is a very easy and tasty recipe. Try it….everybody will love it.
RICETTA IN ITALIANO QUI
OMELETTE with HAM and CHEESE
INGREDIENTS
- 6 eggs
- breadcrumbs
- a bit of milk
- ½ red onion
- 100 g cooked ham in one slice
- 100 g smoked scamorza Italian cheese
- extra vergin olive oil
- salt
DIRECTIONS
Dice the ham and the cheese.
Sook breadcrumbs in milk.
In a large non-stick pan heat some extra vergin olive oil, add the minced onion and saute.
Drain the breadcrumbs and add them, too.
Add a generous pinch of salt, mix and cook for some minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
Crack the eggs into a bowl and lightly beat with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and the mixture of onion and breadcrumbs.
Then add the cooked ham and the scamorza cheese.
Combine all the ingredients together.
Heat some oil in a non-stick pan; pour the egg mixture quickly into the pan and move the pan around to spread it out evenly.
Cover and let the omelette set on a low heat.
When the underside is golden, turn the omelette with ham and cheese over and cook the other side.
Turn the omelette out of the pan onto a plate.
This omelette with ham and cheese is delicious both warm and cold.
