Do you want to learn how to prepare a delicious homemade tisane? This cinnamon and ginger tisane is very simple to make. Moreover it isn’t expensive and it has a lot of health benefits. Don’t forget that ginger, cloves and cinnamon have anti-inflammatory properties and improve digestion. So this is the perfect drink when you feel a cold is coming on!
RICETTA IN ITALIANO QUI
CINNAMON and GINGER TISANE
INGREDIENTS (for 1 person)
- 300 ml of water
- 1,5 cm of ginger root
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 1 spoonful of honey
METHOD
Peel the ginger root and slice it in small pieces.
In a small saucepan bring the water to a boil.
When the water boils, add the ginger slices and the cinnamon stick.
Simmer for another 5 minutes (put a lid on the saucepan to prevent the essential oils from evaporating).
Then remove the saucepan from the heat and add the 2 cloves.
Cover with the lid again and steep for 10 minutes.
Strain into a mug.
You may add a spoonful of honey.
Drink the cinnamon and ginger tisane hot, at room temperature or cold (as preferred).
