Pasta with Pistachio Sauce

Hello! How many of you love pistachio? We usually use it in sweets but I adore pistachio in pasta dishes or meat ones too. I wanted try to experiment a new healthy sauce for my beloved pasta so here is the recipe. Follow step by step my directions and the result will surprise you. I recommend you to use fresh basil in order to have a good meal.

Ingredients:

  • 160 grams of whole wheat pasta fettuccine
  • 50 grams of shelled pistachios
  • 1 cup of basil
  • 3 spoons of biological extra-virgin oil
  • salt
  • 2 spoons of grated cheese

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender
  2. Cook fettuccine in salty boiling water (about 8 minutes)
  3. Pour the sauce in a frying-pan and cook for 1 minute
  4. Once pasta is ready drain it
  5. Pour it in the frying pan and cook one minute more with sauce
  6. Serve it and add extra grated cheese if you like.
