The scones

The scones, England’s famous biscuits, are usually baked for the tea time or as pastries for breakfast. They are gorgeous filled with strawberry jam and cream: delicious!


The scones

ingredients (for 15 scones):
-250 g cake’s flour
-60 g soft, chopped butter
-150 ml milk + for brushing
-1 sachet chemical yeast
-1 spoon white sugar

Preheat the oven at 220°C. Mix flour, sugar, butter and yeast; when the dough will look like sand stir in the milk and knead since you obtain an homogeneous mixture. spread it 1 cm high and cut scones (2 cm of diameter), put them on a baking tray covered with waxed paper and brush milk on them. Put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes,take them out and let them cool down.
