Pancotto with cime di rape

 

Today I want to propose a simple dish, povero, nutriente e nello stesso tempo che ci dà la possibilità di smaltire del pane raffermo.

Raise your hand if you do not have the stale bread at home from time to time!! ;-) A me capita molto spesso!

Poichè non voglio buttare il pane cerco sempre di riciclarlo in qualche maniera. A volte lo riciclo facendo del buon pan grattato molto profumato che sa di fresco mettendo il pane, cut into slices, in the oven at a temperature of not more than 150° C for about 1 now. When it's cold I put in the cutter and chopped finely. Another way I use to recycling is just prepare this meal that is part of our culinary tradition pugliese: pancotto with cime di rape.

Ingredients:

  • stale bread baked type

  • cime di rape

  • extra virgin olive oil

In boiling salted water Cook the turnip tops. When the turnip tops become keep lower the stale bread cut into slices not too thin. Just the water resumes boiling ’ drain the vegetables with the bread.

Put everything into a large bowl and season with the ’ extra virgin olive oil. Stir very well to break the slices of bread which you must blend well with turnip tops.

Serve immediately.

The ’ idea in more: per un piatto più saporito è possibile preparare da parte un soffritto di olio extravergine di oliva, garlic and chili peppers to add to drained after pancotto. Stir well and serve. :-D
