Chickpeas hamburgers are a delicious and easy to make recipe. They can be considered a side dish or a main course. They are a perfect way to start eating more legumes. They are good for vegetarians, but they can be successfully adapted also to a vegan diet by simply removing the Parmesan cheese from the paste. CHICKPEAS HAMBURGERS
INGREDIENTS (for 4 people)
- 1 can of chickpeas (270 g)
- 50 g of onion
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons of white flour
- 1 teaspoon rosemary leaves
- 20 g of grated Parmesan cheese
- a pinch of ground nutmeg
- extra virgin olive oil
- pink salt
- black pepper
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 200°.
Drain the canned chickpeas in a colander and then rinse them with abundant cold water.
Put the chickpeas in a mixer together with onion, parsley, the rosemary leaves, a pinch of salt and pepper and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
Mix perfectly.
Put the chickpeas paste in a large bowl and add two tablespoons of flour.
Mix and then add the grated Parmesan cheese.
Mix again, then grease your hands with oil and work the chickpeas paste to form the hamburgers. Put them on a large baking sheet covered with baking paper. Drizzle with oil.
Bake the chickpeas hamburgers in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Remember to turn them halfway through cooking time.
