Rice with Onion – italian recipe

Rice with Onion, or in italian “Risotto con Cipolla”, is an easy but excellent first course, especially because the golden onions browned with butter become a little sweet and therefore very good. If you want you can add a bag of saffron to get a wonderful saffron rice.

Ingredients

  • Rice (70-80gr per person);
  • Broth as needed;
  • A big Golden Onion;
  • Butter as needed;
  • Parmesan cheese as needed;

  1. Peel the onion and cut it thin, use the special sliced ​​vegetables to slice it as thin as possible;
  2. Melt a knob of butter in a pan and make brown the onion;
  3. When the onion is ready, pour the rice, let it toast a few seconds and start pouring the broth;
  4. Mix and as the broth is absorbed pour more;
  5. The cooking time of the rice is about 20-25 minutes, taste the rice to get the desired degree of cooking.
  6. Ready the rice, stir in a knob of butter and Parmesan.
  7. Serve and enjoy your meal! : D
NOTES: if you want to enrich the dish you can add rolled bacon in form of roses previously made crispy at the grill. 😛😛😛
