Ingredients:
- 600 g Italian buffalo or cow mozzarella PDO
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon of dried paprika
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Cut the Italian mozzarella cheese into sticks.
- Put them into the freezer.
- Drench them in the flour, the corn flour, the oregano and the paprika together with a cup of water.
- Dip the cheese stick into the mixture and then roll them in the bread crumbs until they are covered on each side.
- Put the sticks into the refrigerator for about half an hour.
- Fry the Italian mozzarella sticks a few pieces at a time in very hot oil for just few seconds until they get golden brown.
- Serve immediately with the desired sauce.
