My Erasmus Cookbook

Quindi … #iosforno is back!

So… English translation below!

I’m back home after six months of Erasmus spent in Delft, a wonderful town in the Netherlands! This time, full with emotions, study, travels and trips and amazing people, has been a unique experience that I feel lucky and happy I could have.

Even in these months, I didn’t change: I always liked to cook for my new international friends and been looking forward to try new tastes, both from the Netherlands and, most of all, from Europe and the world. Cooking makes me happy, and it’s my way of showing affection to those that surround me: I baked so many pizzas and cakes for flatmates and friends, using the few hours free from studying! And no one ever complained… 😛

While the Erasmus was coming to the end, when the sadness for the upcoming flight back started to be felt, I began to think that I wanted to get something that could remind me of each person I met in Delft. Then, I got an idea from the countless dinners we had all together: what about asking all my friends to give me a recipe? So, I started collecting recipes, letting everyone free of choosing, with the only condition that each had to feel represented by the dish which he/she was suggesting me (because it was the favourite dish, or typical of their country, or for whatever reason!)

From here, two new ideas for the blog were born: the series of recipes My Erasmus Cookbook, with the dishes collected in this experience (because I want to try them all!), and the English translation of all the upcoming posts and, little by little, also of the past ones. I want this blog to become a way to keep in touch with who, during these months, shared experiences and… sat at the table with me!
